Greenville County Ordinance 2547 requires any person or company to obtain a Roofing Permit for any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, or association engaged in the roofing business.
To obtain a permit:
Mail-In or Appear in person with the following:
Application for Roofing Permit (call 864-467-8145 to be sent the application)
Copy of SC Residential Builder’s Commission LLR License
Copy of Driver’s License
Proof of Financial Responsibility (copy of Liability Insurance/worker’s compensation insurance policy to business)
Payment of $50.00 due annually
Permits will be issued Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., (Closed daily 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.). No appointment is needed. The office will be closed during county holidays.
